Elizabeth Larsson, Consultant
I have over 8 years’ experience working with victims of abuse and violence, having worked internationally for humanitarian organisations supporting refugees and victims of human trafficking, and with individuals at high risk of harm from domestic violence in London.
I have an in-depth knowledge of the systems and legal infrastructure that surrounds domestic abuse - both civil and criminal - and a thorough knowledge of how power and control operate within abusive relationships and post-separation. This allows me to robustly challenge barriers that my clients come up against in trying to access justice, ensuring their rights are upheld and their voices are respected every step of the way. I am committed to providing support that is fully trauma informed and that places your consent, empowerment and healing is at its centre.
I am SafeLives qualified as an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate, have a GDL in Law and a Master’s in Criminology - where my research focus was on abuse in an institutional context. I am trained in safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, mental health and suicide first aid. I understand the importance of confidentiality and discretion, and our work together will be carefully tailored around your wishes in this respect.
